Picking the right size is the most common question we get. The good news: a few simple rules make it easy, and you can preview any print on your own wall before you buy.
The two-thirds rule
Art hung above furniture looks best when it covers about two-thirds of the furniture’s width. Above a 6-foot sofa, that’s roughly 4 feet of art. A single print rarely fills that space alone, so a group of two or three prints often works better than one.
Hang it at eye level
Most designers hang art so its center sits about 57 to 60 inches from the floor. Above a sofa or headboard, leave roughly 8 to 10 inches between the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
Which size fits where
- 8×10″: desks, shelves, small walls, bathrooms, and grouped in gallery walls.
- 11×14″: bedrooms, hallways, next to a doorway, or above a nightstand.
- 16×20″: home offices, entryways, above a dresser or console table.
- 18×24″: the statement size. Great on its own on a narrow wall, or as the center of a gallery wall.

Build a gallery wall and save
Gallery walls are an easy way to fill a big space. Mix three to five prints of different sizes, keep about 2 to 3 inches between frames, and use matching frames to tie it together. Bundles save 15% on 3 prints and 20% on 5 or more.
